Lewis Cook captained England U17s to World Cupglory. Eddie Howe saw the potential and bought him but he got a nasty knee injury which had Lucy Ward crying about. He made it back but not a regular starter but still a very good midfielder
We have approx 5m of his transfer fee to pay this season while we get no use from him. Far more likely he’ll go on another free line the rest of the ****e than get any fantasy 35m for him
I was referring to Summerville. It's been said a few times that he is high maintenance. We bought him for 1 million. If we can sell him for a good profit I'd get rid. (Even though I rate him highly)
I’d keep Summerville. He’ll tear the Championship a new one down our right hand side. And he’s the only one of our wingers who’s natural on the right. The other wingers Harrison, Sinisterra, James and Gnonto all play down our left so at least two of them can leave. And I don’t listen to rumours Summerville has an attitude problem and is disruptive. Probably all bollocks but who really knows? All I do know is he always gives 100% effort when he’s on the pitch - including tracking back to help out the right back.
I agree that Summerville is high maintenance but I would love to see him with Drameh behind him again ripping up the league. However I think he may have burnt his bridges by talking about going back to Holland and be interesting to see how Sinisterra deals with that as they were both in the same club with wee Jimmy playing a few games for the first team? If we are losing wingers it makes sense to look at Fraser and Diangana who are mentioned in the media again today
Dan James is better on the right imo and having Rutter dancing inside on to his left foot would be useful too.
This. Sell Summerville and Gnonto for massive profit. Approx 20-30 million. That helps FFP for next season. Get rid of Meslier, Firpo, Struijk and replace with Darlow, Manning and let Hjelde take the Struijk role as Struijk is dogshit. That leaves us with Dan James, Rutter to fight it out on the right and Sinisterra and Harrison on the left. I'm not arsed if we sell Harrison to be honest, he's always been hit and miss.
I’ve said it before. Harrison is the most frustrating of players. He is one decision making of being true quality but he ****s up the final ball so many times.
The Sun are saying Leeds can have Nat Phillips but only on a permanent deal. Ok let’s do it as someone at the club said you can never have enough CBs? Hoping that this week starts off quicker than last week and we start to see new players arrive and more shyt leave Maybe the new ownership confirmation is imminent too ..
On the Dan James question I wonder if he has improved as a footballer. Bielsa wanted him badly from Swansea but got the rug pulled at midnight. The kid spent a couple of seasons at Old Toilet before we overpaid for him, but he was deemed as second best to Harrison and we also had Raphinha. He then went on loan to Fulham and spent a season sat on their bench. Will he be better now than he was at Swansea, will he be as fast? Maybe he deserves to be given a good go this year
My point exactly reference Harrison which is why i would sell him. But the new owners blocked his sale in january which looks like they want him to stay. But they may have thought we would stay in the prem so things could change.
