Repeating myself, I know, I don't find our openers convincing

 

We haven't had a really dependable opener since Cook imo

 

as i said afore, i expect the openers to just plod on and aim for a ton (not that they will get there every time of course) and just be there frustrating/tiring the bowlers and giving the ball some hammer...nowt worse than knowing you are going to bowl at a couple of stubborn buggers that do not throw wickets away easy.

'slash and bash' players can do thier work middle order.
