That could happen in any workplace...there's plenty of footballers who have opened up about their mental health issues. In my opinion, when you are young and aspire to become a professional sportsman, then you must accept the bad times along with the good. Some people being a bit "shouty" at you is hardly the worse thing to deal with in a work place when there's thousands of others worshipping the ground you walk on. Maybe I'm built of tougher stuff, but some of these sportsmen are just pure attention seeking fannies who need to filter out the sledging and abuse from fans and get on with what they are handsomly paid to do...in this case whack a ball with a bit of wood, or chuck a ball at another fella
Couldn't agree more steels but I'm not so sure the younger generations have been developed/ raised to tough it out as much as previous generations have done.
This really feels like the pivotal day of the series...... England's chances depend on batting well today to post a lead, anything beyond 100 would be useful to put pressure on the aussies.... or we get blown away and kiss goodbye to any chance of winning the series..... Weather looks perfect for batting........ kiss of death
Wow Steels. You talking about dodgeball on the cricket field? Although some bowlers have been accused of chucking.
No chip here mate. Of course you were complaining about it. The Aussie crowd when England tour is the most abusive anywhere. Why be so personal? I fell into that trap and apologised, whilst the guy I apologised to 'liked' your abusive post, which says a lot. You guys just seem to be on a permanent wind up. No I don’t like losing to you, but I've acknowledged all along that the Aussies are the better team.
For ****'s sake! Root gone to the second ball of the day. His head seems to have been all over the place in this game.
You really are losing it Col. It genuinely was not a wind up. You're reading something into it that is simply not there.
So we're in the same position as the aussies were at lunch yesterday..... so need these two to do the Mitchell Marsh bit and then some more....
