Just good at self promotion isn’t she
I didn’t watch the game yesterday as I was in pub
Many females watch the game in turkey?
Lots of females there last night. And very young kids and on a school day. Game didn’t finish until 10.30:then over an hour’s journey home. Have seen some of our fans, and rugby ones, say they can’t go to Friday night games at it is too late for their little kiddiewinks.

The goals we didn't concede as opposed to the ones we did before switching style. You mean?
by 'switching style' I suppose you mean stopping taking suicidal risks at the back
the old style was evident again yesterday
by all means applaud them conceding goals unnecessarily if that is your obsession but I prefer us to avoid playing ridiculously around our own penalty area

The defensive record improved when playing out, so no, I don't buy that it leads to unnecessary goals conceded anymore than lumping it forward and handing back posession. I dont think you need to look much further past the lack of available wingers and strikers for the reason there was a lack of outball at times last season and we struggled to create.

I do think if you launch it to midget midfielders playing in the absence of pace and a decent/fit no9 then you're ultimately going to invite more defensive pressure than playing through the 3rds and keeping the ball.
Launch....who mentioned that

I am genuinely speechless.

She’s a young lass, clearly buzzing high on life and the opportunities she’s probably deserved.

Good on her.

It’s probably unsettling for her to have her private life dissected and discussed by a bunch of miserable old farts on a footy forum with nothing better to do. Whether she’s been invited free to any of these events by the club or owner or not doesn’t really matter does it and it’s none of anybody else’s business.

How did Fleming get on in the second half? I always thought he was decent.
I also thought he was decent.
Tbh, he looked rusty last night. Maybe to be expected.
On last night's showing, I'd still put him ahead of Jake Leake, although Leake is nearly 3 years younger so that may change as the months pass and he gains more experience & develops further.

No, the switching style that saw us dominate possession and prevent the other team scoring 99%of the time.

There's a difference between individual error and junking a tactic cos one player makes 2 individual errors in possession in his first game back in a friendly against sharper, better quality opposition for the most part.

Doc didn't **** up in the league like that last season so why focus on a nightmare 5 mins where he was clearly rattled by his first mistake as a reason to undo all the good work since November?

You create your own privacy, showing large chunks of your private life on social media is not creating privacy. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

Again. Apart from last night we haven't conceded a goal from conceding possession in our final third since blackpool at home. The only difference between messing around at the back and playing out from the back is literally success. For example, doc doesnt take a touch as heavy as a 16 wheeler and finds a teammate then its not messing around.

I can however point at a few examples where we hoofed it up top to nobody because we had no one and we conceded from that same possession

we havent conceded when we played the ball forward to players who are not exposed and within 20 yards of our own goal
'hoofing it to nobody' is exactly what nobody has been suggesting yet carry on talking about it as much as you want

I hate to break it to you but the ball passed to Docherty yesterday was a forward pass

Ingram won’t get in as a number one because he can’t play quick enough with his feet, jones as commendable as defender as he is isn’t quick enough with his feet.
I dont think a goalkeeper has to be quick with his feet when he can throw to unmarked defenders on the wing or other players around the half way line
I want a goalkeeper who is a good shot stopper and commands his area
I also dont want him to pass to a marked defender 20 yards in front of the centre of goal

And it was the u21 keeper doing that. Ingram mixed up the distribution better second half and guess what? No silly goals.

ah bringing the north stand into it now....cool

There's a reason they've reverted back to kicking south in the second half. Around about the time Rosey and Seri were asking for 'patience' from some of the crowd. You think it's a coincidence?

I think they were sluggish and the midfield was too deep and didn't find the out ball. Probably because it's a long time since Tetteh played and they've trained 2 days with Delap.
Second half along with most of the second half of last season it wasn't an issue.
Doc made 2 individual errors and you're trying to pin that on the managers tactics not the fact that players make mistakes especially first game back in pre season.
Just seems you have an axe to grind cos some schoolteacher told you how the amateur game was played back in the dark ages.

It was an issue 2nd half, just not as much.
At least 3 'heart in the mouth' moments (even though Galatasary were clearly less strong 2nd half).
Last season Rosenior relaxed the instructions for a while as we kept gifting chances (some punished, some not thankfully). That's why it wasn't so much of an issue for some of the second half of last season. It looks like from last night's evidence it's back big style.
It wasn't Doc so much as the keepers (both of them) making mistakes through being under pressure from Rosenior to play it out into CM. I say that because there is no way on this earth they would keep doing it unless Rosenior was demanding they do so.
To my mind, it's just as bad as McCann's stubborrness when he was here. It's naive. Managers / coaches should be adapting the tactics to get the best out of what they've got, not setting their stall out to play a certain way no matter the opposition, no matter the players available / not available, etc. Fine to gradually develop a club toward a way of playing, but that takes time. Man City can do it because they've had time and because they have pretty much the best players in the country in every position on the pitch (and on the bench too).
Nobody is suggesting to 'launch' it instead. Just to ease the expectation that's clearly leading our keepers to play suicide balls into CM.

why do you think we are looking for another first choice keeper Peter?
