That would be a shame. Decent player, but looks overpriced and doesn't fit well with our current style of play. Likes a number 10 to his right, or a deep playing striker, so he can play a one-two and burst into the penalty area. He's really quite a poor dribbler and relies quite heavily on this one trick, so we'd need to adjust style for him to be effective. Might work with Isak in the striker role I suppose, but the tactic would likely somewhat limit Isak's goalscoring. I'd much prefer we looked elsewhere.

At least he scores goals and doesn't **** about. He hurts the opposition the polar opposite of Saint Maximin.

I've seen Barnes play **** but surely he's a decent signing for us right now?

He'd likely be much better for us than the never fit Allan, but Leicester are apparently after around £50million. If so, I'd prefer we spend £10million more and get a Diaby.

For the comments on Barnes you could just as easily be talking about ASM. We need more intelligence than either of these two.

Great goals tbh

Theres definitely a touch of Miggy about his attacking play in the way he plays 1-2's and drifts inside but Barnes is just better in every attacking attribute.

TBH I like Maxi and I think he is a player you keep to unlock tight defense's or create a moment of magic that other players can't do but if we could get someone who can get goals and assists but more consistently for a decent outlay I wouldn't be opposed to him being sold. If Maddison was £40m then Barnes can't be more than £30m IMO and if you could get close to that for Maxi it would appear you get more output from Barnes so could be a good trade.

"A Touch of Miggy" sounds like an aftershave.

Maxi = headless chicken the majority of the time. We haven't got to wait for him to learn to be a team player! I love him as a player but for the greater good, get rid! £40million, thank you and good luck with Helios!! :emoticon-0152-heart

Our fans love a Maxi that no longer exists imo.

He's an OK dribbler and if he takes a shot in a match, he's praised as having a blinder. I dunno, Barnes is an upgrade for sure imo

And I don't even rate Barnes that much, I just seriously don't rate Maxi at all.
