8:10 Bath LADYPACKSAPUNCH 16/1 Last time was not very far behind Galactic Glow and Kraken Filly who are the front two in the market here. Reopposing on better terms and really does look decent value for an EW flutter at the current prices.
I fancy magi gal this evening at Tipperary seems to pop up once in a while and the last performance just made me think it near that time and at 18/1 small ew for me
not guilty Anyone see the ride on Hillsin earlier at Worcester by Dylan Kitts? 2/1 out to 11/1. Won't see too many non trier efforts like that I don't think. Wonder what excuse was offered and what the punishment will be?
Yep. Said the same to my old man. He never once asked the horse for an effort and when he realised it was going to canter to victory on the outside, he pulled it back in and pulled the reigns to slow the horse up.
Trainer and jockey agreed that the horse had been ridden to order but the trainer threw him under the bus saying he could have tried harder after the last. Jockey said the horse made a noise
I think it was trying to say "stop choking the life out of me". The sad thing in all this is that its the jockey who will get the most flak for it but he is a conditional and obviously he will only have been doing what he has been told by the connections. If he doesnt toe the line he risks getting a reputation among trainers and will miss future opportunities. The answer here is for the handicapper to stick the horse up a stone, it might get through to connections then that you cannot stand to gain in this way. Dont get me started on the Knight of the Realm and his antics!
Connections were no doubt p1**ed-off he got third? 4th would have suited them better. Agree, definitely hard to blame a young conditional, he was without doubt riding to orders. Darn good idea for the handicapper to put him up a stone for future events? That would fix 'em, good and proper! By the way, see the trainer's surname is 'Honour'. How ironic!
I saw on twitter (granted not always a great source of factual info) reports that the horse never traded below 13 in running. If that is true then there will be a lot of fall out from this way beyond the jockey. Agree a young jockey is just a pawn in this game.
Looking more like this is entirely jockey/owners that are the issue here. Trainer is livid apparently, demanded horses taken from yard straight away and they have been. That is not the action of a trainer who had a betting plan and knows the horse will win soon. Kitts have any previous? Was trying to look up any recent bans or incidents but none stood out that I could find. Seen one comment elsewhere that he was a bit dodgy but I took that with a pinch of salt as people often throw things like that around in the immediate aftermath. Whatever the case is, it reeks.
Now the horses owner decides to come out and say he wasn’t the one who booked Kitts, contradicting the trainers account. A proper sorry mess.
What I don’t understand is, why didn’t they want it to win at 11/1 SP? We’re they too stupid to realize how well-in the horse was? Or are they plotting it up for the Coral Cup? I’d warn the owner and trainer off for 6 months and give the jockey a warning.
Because someone laid it at 2/1. The winner had no form and was well found in the market. They obviously didn’t want to beat it.
