So it's ok to call an international cricketer overweight?
Not starting an argument mate. Just I like Maxwell. He says stuff that I think. If Bairstow was/is overweight, why is that a problem? Heard footy commentators say similar an awful lot over the years

Fair enough mate. Just think it's a bit disrespectful, then again I ****ing hate all Australians right now so maybe there's that

(not Bailey Wright bvs)

I don’t actually think there’s anything wrong with it. He’s a professional so should take better care of himself. Wicket keepers need to be agile and clearly his weight holds him back.

This would seem the ideal opportunity to move Bairstow up the order and bring Foakes in behind the stumps.
They obviously have more faith in Bairstows keeping than many others do.

Pleased to see Woakes and Woody back in the team - Ali back also gives us some sort of spin option. Personally I would have rested Robinson instead of Tongue but an interesting side nonetheless that bats deep.

We needed an extra bowler as need to bowl them out twice. Hoping for an extremely controversial run out for Australia.

Right about the bowling. Pity we don't have,( never have!!!) a good leftie.

But, for all the noise, and despite their bowling mostly looking better, it's dropped catches and missed chances that have cost us more than anything else. Definitely cost the first test, and probably the second.

If we don't improve on that, all the efforts are wasted.

Quite. You are not obliged to ask. If the bowler is a spinner mind, you should expect to be stumped, as batsmen play on the edge of the crease to spinners usually.

We know, England know, they know, everyone knows, it was sly, underhand and typical. It also looked planned, which made it worse.

Broad was right. Whatever Carey ever does now, he'll be remembered for that action. Cummins will be remembered for either condoning it beforehand or not withdrawing the appeal.

Smith, who will have been involved as Vice if it was planned, will always be remembered, not for his brilliant batting, but for being caught cheating blatantly three times. But it's "just Smithy" so it's all okay.
