Not entirely implausible, but I fail to see why Pep would want to assist a title rival.
And unless she has evidence of any kind regarding this claim, she probably should have kept her mouth shut. Total conjecture.

Because he knows fine well that they aren't really a rival. And that Rice is worth probably 2/3 of that, tops.

But everything that comes out of her mouth is bollocks so it's no doubt rubbish.
