The truth is that the last time we bid for Maddison was January, and we didn't lodge a bid for Sobz. Both good players, but we haven't actually tried to sign them, despite what Twitter says.

Would have liked Sobz despite not being an exact fit for the 3 CM system where we have Bruno, Big Joe and Toinali. Not sure Maddison could have grafted hard enough for us.

Spurs and Dippers both got good players and are both stronger - but we didn't try to sign either of them in this window.

I will add, that despite finishing in CL for 1 season, only complete spastics will think that we have more pull than Liverpool re signings.

I will add further, that only spastics would think that our project / direction doesn't have more pull than Spuds who are going the opposite way. One signing doesn't fix Levy.

Our biggest problem in the market is that we currently can't pay wages on par with either. Need a few more successful years / dodgy sponsorships and we'll be laughing, but FFP is currently holding us back.
