unbelievable Lyon ready to bat
It pointless really. He can't run, so it;s up to Starc to score some boundaries. Just stick everyone on teh fence to both batters and see what happens

Having said that, I don't imagine there will be much footwork going on from Lyon so I'd bo bouncer, bouncer, yorker

Big ask 371 against these bowlers on this pitch, if they do it it will be an immense win. Can't see it at the moment like. Lads need to bat a bit of time then get going imo.

Do able for this team on this pitch against average attacks like NZ, SA or India. Australia are a completely different proposition. I'd say we have about 1% chance of winning

Team for the 3rd test then?

Duckett, Crawley, Root, Brook, Bairstow, Stokes (c), Foakes (w), Ali, Wood, Tongue, Broad

Too much of a gamble having 3 bowlers with fitness issues? Robinson and Anderson look way off the pace and at leat Wood and Tongue give us some pace.

I'd give us 10%-20% chance given recent history but need lads to get in a bit and bowlers ball get a bit tired. It would be brilliant for the series if we could somehow find a way!

Don't get the hype around Pope. Think he has an average technique
10 or 11 innings against Australia. Average 15. Highest score 42.

I’m actually a big fan of him. He’s got so much potential and ability but he’s starting to flatter to deceive now.

It's great having an ideology, but if you're not prepared to flex it and adjust to the scenario you're facing... that just makes you predictable to play against.

Can see this being over tonight. Great bowling but this is like watching England in the 90s
