Terrible bowling by the quicks except debutant Tongue. Rescued by "part timer" Root late on. And if he is getting wickets what is Lyon going to do. No disrespect Joe.

Contentious I know, but apart from captaincy what is Stokes providing to this team? Mike Brearley of yesteryear only got in the team because of his captaincy, but that was a totally different scenario.

Agree, Stokes along with Anderson have done very little so far this series
