Chester 18.15 A newcomers race so nothing to go on unless one has seen the horses and gallops. However, Witness Box is by Expert Eye out of an Oasis Dream mare which seems quite attractive. Also Jan foal, so could be (but not necessarily) more forward. Cost 80K Gns as a foal so would imagine looked OK. Very risky these races but that would be my choice, gun to head

Newcastle 18.35 Surely Nashwa is a banker here. Odds not attractive but if I could get 4/6 or better I would be very tempted

Surely Ron if it was a “forward” type it would have run by now?

BTW Ronaldo. I happened across Timeform on Twitter this week and they had an article giving four two year olds a large P. I have to tell you that I watched all four of these debutantes and only one might have sneaked on to my tracker.
The first of them runs tonight and is called LOOBY, it’s not the one that I liked.

Interested in Theoryofeverything (1530 at Yarmouth) He was a late withdrawal from The Britannia at Ascot last week so they surely think a fair bit of him to have contemplated running him there.

I did enjoy trainer Richard Fahey's comments on The New Marwan in his article today. "Through no fault of his own the old boy has got himself well-handicapped" made me smile. Actually he is a 6-y-o and is not the oldest in the race, but never mind. Trainer says he is fit as can be and hopes for a good run from the Dark Angel gelding (Damsire: Galileo). The lady amateur rider claims 5lb for the Fahey stable in this Class-6 Handicap for Amateur Jockeys at Newcastle (16:55)

9/1 (Wm.Hill/BetVictor) is the best price at time of writing. E/W definitely best option.

One For Bobby is an interesting runner in the Hoppings at Newcastle. The race should be a penalty kick for Nashwa on form, but One For Bobby is a Listed winner (and Group 2 placed last year). She’s a big price at 20/1 so I’m having a dabble each way.
