Bowling seems logical. About an hour away from lords and just full on cloud so should be plenty of movement once get going

    2 drops already?

Pitch has no pace which seems a surprise.

Sounds like going to be tough to get 20 wickets

I see Just Stop Oil were out making themselves popular again.

Cricket is well famed for lots of connections to the Oil business of course

when you go in and choose to bowl you have to be doing it of SOME sort of knowledge.

The pitch thing is now two in a row its unforgivable to be presenting the home side with pitches that are not suiting the

The stupid protestors, that doesn't help.

    Pope certainly was a drop.

realistically they are traitors to the country at this point and should be sent to a country where climate action is required.

oh i dunno iran, iraq, suadi. somewhere where oikl is a problem.

    maybe even russia.

A difficult start but one key wicket went down on the very last ball. Complete moronic thing to have happen from an aussie point of view but a good ball delivered.

England have a lot of ground to make up here after choosing to bowl but can come in after lunch and have a go at new batsman and a guy who will give you chances.

    another clean bowl by tongue.

not a great score line at 130/2 but they have got to smith and Labuschagne as the real big two so its going to be down to keeping the wickets box ticking over here.

add two qick wickets and i suppose it will look very good.

stokes just came on. 3 extras of 2 no balls and two 4s.

We've lost pope to a shoulder injury as well.

All in all a great start to this test. 154/2

looks like england are now in full on series saving mode.

In normal times at 194/2 here and no sign of a break through on the australian top top mean (both mid 40s now) we might be looking at 400-500 score and in normal times we'd come out to bat a long time and make this a draw and move to the next test.

Smith just had an awful no shot ball off the pads given not out and its above the roll. stokes didn't review rightly

they are at least still having a go here.

the pitch was green but the Australians look largely untroubled.

another wicket and then australia keep on scoring. head is now up to 27 from 26 balls.

    236/3.

england really really need 2 quick wickets here and turn this into a 350 not a 450.

    Dreadful from England all day.

Lack of difference in the bowling has made it easy for Australia.

Look at that, a different type of bowler takes 2 in an over.
