We did it before. We have to be stronger than the sum of our parts while hoping they are weaker than the sum of their parts. Most years they will beat us, but occasionally we will succeed.
Is it really summer of 2023 and journalists still think we will pay Mbappe's wages, regardless.of whether he would be willing to come here?
Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite has reportedly told the club he ‘wants to leave,’ which comes as a major blow to Sean Dyche.
Real Madrid accept Liverpool's £77m offer Real Madrid have accepted a second bid of £77m from Liverpool for midfielder Federico Valverde, according to reports. President Florentino Perez is said to have given the green light after the English club upped their offer significantly in the past 24 hours. That's according to Nacional, who say Valverde could be the ‘sacrifice’ necessary to provide Real Madrid the funds to go after Kylian Mbappe this summer. I'd be surprised if we spent that much, but very much a utility player can play midfield, fullback, wing... A lot of overlap there with a certain outgoing legend... I can see why Klopp would want him.
Because I doubt he has many other clubs after him. I feel sorry for him because he had asked to leave last summer but we stupidly priced him out of a move.
I think would be a good move for him if a manager wants him. But could easily move there, be out of favour cos not the type a new manager fancies and then be shafted further down the pecking order. Ironically think he’d be perfect for dyche’s Everton or Big Sams Leeds. Someone that’s gonna play a deeper line where pace won’t be exposed and his main job is to block the ball and head it away.
Didn't he go on loan to Bournemouth? That would have been a decent move for him had they made him an offer.
look I sincerely doubt he cares as he is on 60k a week so is clearing 3mil for sitting there. he will end up on a free on 30k a week in the Championship. simple equation
Kovacic confirmed to city. Solid squad player there. Have always liked him, not sure quite same quality and impact as gundogan but a solid player to keep things moving. Interesting if they do get rice how they’d line up.
Conor coady being linked to Leicester now as not needed at wolves. Seem odd one that from captain of wolves and fringes of England squad to being not needed and dumped to Everton who decided not to sign him (not tall enough for dyches Everton defence). Feel like coukd still do a decent job in prem as part of a back 3
Surprised one of the promoted teams are going for him, would add alot of much needed experience to their teams. Plus he'd probably be better than anything they've got now.
He called the goal he scored for Everton against us "one of the best feelings of his career". ( It was disallowed for offside.) Really odd statement to make considering he's a boyhood Liverpool fan and played for us at youth level. Once Everton touches you ...
The thing about Valverde is he's basically the same price that Bellingham went for... And he'll never fill a home grown spot for us. The full back cover is nice, but wonder if for that price Belly would have been smarter, unless he just didn't want us.
