I wouldn't disagree with that. He's 16 yrs old and so many things can go right or wrong. When it goes right, it's great but I tend to think there's a greater chance of youngsters not making it when they move early and then they're easily discarded.

I'd much rather we develop our own young players which tbf we're generally good at. And recruit from outside like Brighton rather than the bullshit galacticos model we've attempted in the past decade.

Hummels won the league for three years running after he left; Goetze won the league for three years running after he left and also the World Cup; Dembele has won numerous trophies for Barcelona; Lewandowski has done pretty well in fairness; Aubameyang you need to discount as he went to Arsenal. Still managed to win the title with Barcelona though in fairness; Mkhitaryan has done alright, won a few cups with you and then won a few elsewhere. Just missed out on Champions league this season; Gundogan has won multiples of most things since he left too.

Admittedly Pulisic and Sancho have both struggled but they were going to teams who were changing managers with some regularity (not having a go there but it's just how it was) and didn't seem to settle. I'd argue there's been more hits than misses in the players who have moved on.

Aubameyang won the FA cup with us and was brilliant for two seasons until he downed tools.

He is in that category of player where he is impossible to replace

We talking Haaland, Mbappe types to replace him and that is never happening

When he goes we have to start a new dynamic…he should go this summer and save us the constant speculation all next season putting off the rest of the squad…plus he will go anyway….just a year later at best.

sell him, give the new manager some spending money to build a new team and era.

imo the whole Kane saga will get in the way of the managers work

    commit to stay or sell

I agree, he needs to grab this opportunity. Even if it don't work out, I'll respect him more for at least trying.

Sorry mate I disagree, I look at things differently, how can a club go from 15 years of winning nothing, to er winning nothing - I was going to say there is nothing hard about this, but then realised there is one thing hard about it, too scared to change - for me it's break that voodoo once and for all.

He wants Alan Shearer’s record….he’s only 47 behind

he could go to Bayern for 3/4 years…still got time to come back to the PL and get the record In 3 seasons…that would take him to around 37 years old

Top players are playing to that age range nowadays.

Do fans count player records though, I know they count club records (trophies), but I've rarely taken any interest in player records, other than age and their ability to keep playing. I remember world cup golden boots, so that's an individual record, we remember when players aim to score 60 goals in a season, but beyond that?

    I wanna tell you a story <max bygraves> ...

When our new American owner took over, he wanted to place pictures of past greats through the home end concourse. Anyway after it was done, I was looking at the pictures and turned to my mate and said, where is Ron Hillyard? He goes what mate...I said Hillyard he played for us more times than any other player (back in my day). The moral of that story is people don't remember as time goes by, they only remember trophies.

I didn't even know of this Shearer record, it only means something to the Spurs fans I suppose, like Hillyard meant something to me, for only time then to forget.
