Only watching on TV....my youngest is there though. But The ChurnUps ( aka Foo Fighters) were really great... energy and gave the crowd what they wanted in buckets. Royal Blood and Young fathers good. Sparks...incredible..really must see them live. But Artic Monkeys...oh dear no connection, slow and unconvincing. Is it a generational thing. Did I just miss the memo
Can you copy and paste acts Don't get it down here Apparently the beeb have sent a thousand staff to cover it Must be the biggest thing in the world Is it on YouTube Can't find it at all on steelsy+
Not good at copy and pasting Kiwi. Will try and find links when I get up later on. There is a lot of coverage...which I for one love. ..
Three or four years ago it was all available on the BBC site Watched a lot of it at work Boo hiss I used to pay the license fee
They were awful from what I've seen. They used to be so full of energy but their last two albums have stunk in my opinion, Alex Turner seemingly on his Serge Gainsburgh journey and dragging his band with him...they're playing Glasgow on Sunday and I'm glad I didn't get tickets after seeing that last night
Yeh, I was a bit disappointed with the Monkeys. However some great acts to catch up on and look forward too. Will have to check out the Mael brothers set. Heard good things of WizKid, ‘Fathers and want to catch Comet. More to come today … bloody hell not enough hours in the day!!
Just watching the Comet is Coming set now....wonderful nu-jazz Looks like they've got good weather down there, was pissing down in Glasgow last night when we were at the Muse gig....now they know how to put on a show!
My son's there with his girlfriend (although he nearly wasn't - I had to take his ticket to him at Paddington after he left it at home) and says Foo Fighters were awesome. He had been hoping that Arctic Monkeys would have to pull out (they had to cancel a gig in the week apparently) and that Foo Fighters would replace them as headliners. No such luck.
Laryngitis - cancelled Dublin....couldn't turn down the Glasto gig....wouldn't be suprised if he cancels Glasgow tomorrow night though
Arctic Monkeys were so poor - their new stuff is lame and if they’d launched their career with that music they wouldn’t have gone anywhere. Living off past glories. Alex Turner clearly spent too much time in LA.
Are all the acts available to watch on the iplayer? Or is it just a piss-poor selection like last year?
All the major acts from the main stages. Not interested in watching Dj Absolutely Sh1t on the Wooden-Planks-Stolen-From-The-Local-Wickes-And-Painted-in-Neon-Flowers-And-Bogeys Stage, thanks.
Take your pick.pal Plenty to work through, dependant on your taste....not my favourite Glasto line-up, last year was better IMO, think it's quite weak overall but sure there will be some good stuff over the weekend
Interested to catch some Jockstrap, Ezra Collective, Loyle Carner, Lizzo, Guns n Roses. Also like to find time to look over Murder Capital, Generation Sex, Sudan Archives, Latham and Mahaloa. Would have been nice to see some BBC Introducing acts - I thought they used to show them in past years, not just the bigger stages.
Watching on BBC sounds. I have 6 stages to choose from. Nothing grabbed me yet...but early in the day... And am watching live feeds from avalon stage and cafe....which is more my cup of tea
