A very gifted player who never really succeeded because he was not utilised to his full potential OR he was a maverick who never became a true team player A delight to watch when he was on song
It made me laugh, but hey he might be alright, remember by lot gave you Gazzaniga once. He plays for Girona now btw or has done for a while I think.
Apparently not even good with his feet which seems the bare minimum for a keeper these days and a trait I thought Ange would want. Levy just probably bidding for players off Paratici’s list last season in the hope of finding a gem.
£100m for Rice is madness but that's the going rate and because he's English. I'd rather we got him for £50m, but it ain't my money so I'm happy that it looks like we've bagged a top quality player. I'm more concerned that we've splashed £65m on Havertz ! Still don't understand that one, he's been gash for Chelsea Hoping Arteta proves me wrong, but he looks like a ****ing massive gamble at that price.
Pep paid £100ml for Grealish which astonished me but he seems to have cured his balance problems and turned him into a very good player. If a manager sees something he can work with you have to give them the chance to proove it.
Havertz is quality. He's actually worth the 65m. Unbeliavable that our thick people running the club haven't accepted 50m for mount. We are mugging united blind. You boys actually need a some good back up defenders though, when saliba got injured you guys went to ****
Not sure he made that much of a different to that team. They probably win it all without Grealish, i don't see anything he does that makes him better than say mahrez on the wing or foden. Haaland was the game changer for pep
He was brilliant for Leverkusen and I remember early on him and Werner looked like they were gonna tear it up for your lot, but it never seemed to materialise. Why has he been so ineffective for Chelsea ? Is he being played out of position, not paired with the right players ? And yeah, we turned to **** after Saliba and Tomiyasu got injured. We've put a bid in for Jurrian Timber from Ajax and I think we'll see a lot more of Kiwior next season who I think is going to turn out to be a fine CB
Not saying he was amazing, just that he actually started to deliver instead of just running into people and falling over. He has now learnt to pass and when to do it, his balance has also improved dramatically ((maybe because Pep won't let him get pissed until after games )
i haven't watched us too much tbf but when he first joined i thought he looked awful with flashes of brilliance, especially after covid he was terrible. Nowadays, he's a lot stronger on the ball and has flashes of brilliance but is much more consistent at holding it up and bringing others into play imo. He's never been the greatest finisher but we insisted on playing as a false 9 which i don't think is a good position for him. I think we're a too defensive side with not much creativity so it doesn't really allow him to shine. I think he'll do well with you guys
yeah, he's certainly learnt to play pep balls much better and he's gotten much better this year. I think he's a valuable player to peps team and it shows that pep played him so much but i don't think he's done anything near enough to justify 100m
