****e, tbh. Hoped to do something that I'd never forget but instead I've been running about after him all day. I feel a cnut but I'm starting to resent him for asking me to give up my life, future, everything to come and look after him when he's never given up a day for me. Stuck here now bro, I've just gotta get on with it.
Sounds like you need some respite saff, Macmillan are great at sorting that sort of thing, just tell them how you're feeling, they'll get it sorted. You need some life yourself and don't want to feel resentment because when it goes tits up, you'll feel even ****ing worse mate.
I had a few days rest either last week or the week before, dont remember much at the moment. I'm not cut out to be a 24/7 carer, but I know theres plenty of people out there doing the same so I've just got to knuckle down. He gets a scan in August when his first round of chemo finishes, I'm hoping it hasn't progressed and they give him 4-6 weeks off. I'm going to Jamaica for a fortnight if that is the case and he'll have to manage somehow while I'm gone. I'm desperate for a proper holiday so I can just switch off.

You definitely need that holiday mate, so don't feel guilty about it. It's important for you to stay sane and keep well bro.
Been through this with my Dad and being a carer is ****ing relentless hard work because you never switch off.
Like Gessa said, speak to MacMillian or one of the carer support groups, because you shouldn't be expected to do all of this on your own.

I done a £1ew lucky 15 and a £5ew acca. Total cost £40.
My first 3 were placed 20/1, 25/1 and 33/1. I was needing my last one to be placed for about 10 grand but it came just outside the places. Gutted. Still got about £360 to pick up today like.
