Bielsa did not use him correctly even put him wide right.
Lots of previous coaches have played him wide right as he has always been a winger/striker. I did read somewhere that he has played more games out on the right than as a striker.

Rodrigo was poor as he was forced to play out of position to accommodate barn door. If he’d played in the no9 spot for three seasons he’d have scored many more
Have to disagree mate, when he played as a loan striker under Bielsa he was poor, so poor Bielsa preferred playing Dan James up front. If you count his 17 appearances and one goal in the PL for Bolton on loan then his PL stats are even worse.

Anyway, this isn't Rodrigo vs Bamford the original point was value for money and I am hoping we offload both for better

Bielsa had blinkers on with dan james.

apparently it's all systems go with the EFL giving the green light to the let's look at every dime these yanks have got scenario........so the piggy bank will hopefully be let loose for a few new faces to go along with the chosen one to put it all into place....onwards and upwards for mr hockaday <whistle>.....come on he may as well throw his hat back in the ring <laugh>
Just heard that the EFL have given the new owners the green light, let's hope the new coach is announced tomorrow and see how much we can shift out.

Dis you see that in your tea leaves or ouija board

Martin new coach at Soton
Maresca new coach at Leicester
Happy we didn't go for any of these, perhaps they do know what they're doing, looking for the right man for the job.
Who knows who is the right man for the job. Heck was bollocks here but got Sheffield united promoted. Who thought a coach from Argentina with no knowledge of the championship would get us promoted? Some times it clicks

Evening all.

Just catching up on today's debate and good to see everyone being optimistic for the new season <whistle>
