ramsay is already being loaned out. Bradley is just going to be hawked round in preseason to attract a buyer. I personally thing you could be quite close on that midfield. It'd be madness to talk about fabinho not having someone bought. if we think 8 players as a kind of number fabinho bajcetic thaigo (has to go) Jones macallister Henderson Elliott taa if that was the midfield 8 then you've got the warm bodies but it'd be absolutely pushing the pain out another year. Next summer we would be here saying Henderson, thaigo and fabinho now need replacing!! as I have said Mr Elliott is simply not a cm. give him and attacking position
Why would we get rid of Thiago? All that experience is invaluable. He can't start consistently of course but there will be games that suit him to start and then some where he comes off the bench.
I think it's fine to use him at CM in certain games especially if McAllister and Fabinho are providing protection to the back 4.
I've no issue with him at RCM either, it's just MITO. However, is prefer Trent there with a new RB behind him
cos he just cannot run and costs 200k a week. thats a lot of dosh to look pretty on the bench for the year. if we can afford that and buy the replacements great. oh and I forgot morton. he will also be hacked about this preseason and sold off as he can pass but has not got the pace either.
I agree on Morton, Bajetic is the future and already way ahead. Thiago will be important for any success we have this coming season imo and reducing his playing time should prevent the amount of injuries. You can't go removing class from our midfield like that.
Well it depends on what we have at the front scoring and what style klopp wants. I don't see us being able to play trent and thiago at 6 for example passing to a front 5. if the front players are the ones delivering then a more functional high intensity modified might be what we go for.
I agree, I wouldn't want both at CM it's too attacking and would expose Fabinho to a similar ragging that he had at times last season. However... At home in happy with. Fabinho McAllister Thiago
With all the talk we've had recently about - any player would go to Saudi for the money and who would blame them .... short career .... etc etc - it was nice seeing Son coming out with 'money doesn't matter. I want to play in the premier league'. I hope more follow suit with similar words and actions.
Very nice to see a player take this stance. Think I said each player is different. Some are in it for the money and, naturally, that means done will be in it for the football. Money would mean so little to me in that environment; already got more money they you probably ever imagined having so focus on footballing ambition and fulfill those childhood dreams.
Other thing is, players who aren't black or brown and/or muslim, probably wont get as good a time out there as ones who are. I doubt most British white Christians would want to live in Saudi, even if they are rich.
Thiagos contract expires next summer so I guess it’s whether he’s happy to sign another 1/2 year deal at reduced rates or if he wants to maybe head back to Spain or try France/Italy for one final career move.
I mean.... I'm not opposed to the idea Funny thing about these minnow leagues buying up all the super stars to try and improve their league, it will only really works if the homegrown players are there as well. At the moment you've got Ronaldo verse players that wouldn't even make amateur levels in Europe. You can't just have squads made up of 20+ foreign mercenaries, it just wouldn't work. You've got to grow your league's brand by having the grassroots making an impact and then augmenting it with outside talent. It'd just be playing fifa or FM on cheat mode.
Sorry Bod, I can't stay quiet on this any more... that creepy looking chick in your signature (is that Taylor Swift) gives me the heebie jeebies! I liked the pretty one you used to have more! lol... usually on phone so don't see it though.. Obviously your sig though and not for me to influence, but she's one creepy looking lady...
