A new super computer has us finishing fifth next season.

Probably would be a good season if that happens. Does seem a bit early given all teams have yet to conclude their buying and selling.

Surprise, Surprise its Liverpool who are the team promoted into the top four in fact up to second.

Just assuming we buy who you genuinely think we will buy, would you be happy with fifth? We will have the extra games in Europe to take into account. I think I would be slightly disappointed but not unhappy. Would like to start being a regular in the top four. Ultimately, if we play with the same style and attitude as last season I will be happy regardless of where we finish.

I'd take 5th right now 100%. That would be a great season again. To break into the top 6 two years in a row is going to be very tough, especially with the extra demands of CL games. So to consolidate European qualification again - at this early stage in the project - would be incredible.

5th would be an incredible achievement including CL games.

We need more players for that to be possible imo.

Yeah 100% would take 5th all day if you offered it to me now. Europa League is probably a better chance of a trophy the following season also.

I'd hope for top 6/7 but if we play like we have over the last 18 months under Howe I could see us top 4 again, just need to pad out the squad with 4 quality signings who add competition for starting places and drop the deadwood and it could be a very fun season.

The buying is so important in this. Where we lagged last season was due mainly down to our not having sufficient players of the necessary standard and as a result our playing 'lesser' players or players carrying an injury.

If we did that and finished fourth then add 3 quality players and potentially 6-10 more games and it looks doable to finish top 4 again.

With 5 spots up for the grabs the league is going to be so competitive next season.

We need real quality in, some names being touted sound good but I've not seen a single bit of genuine news anywhere
 
5th would be amazing. Depending on signings, the extra commitments to the CL might see us slip out the top 6. If we manage 5th, then we are part of the top 6 forever. Next season will be our toughest for quite some time
