OK, apart from transfer price and add-ons, there's the wonderful sell-on clause, which can give clubs a share of a player's increased value. The latest speculation on Gareth Bale is that Spurs won't be able to turn down a £35M bid from Barcelona for him.

Now, [1] someone tell me what our sell-on percentage was for the lad, if any, and [2] remind/tell me about Walcott, OXO, Kenwyne Jones, and other biggish money departures Saints have had in the years since the Premier League.

I think Mr Lowe may have negotiated a deal with Spurs to get some money up front while forfeiting the sell on clause.

Not sure about Walcott but I think Jones was a flat up front fee. When is Walcott's contract up at Arsenal, can he leave for free this summer?

Yeah I think he traded it for some cash and Forecast.
 
If we reach Premier League and Walcott realises that Wenger is a cr@p manager, then maybe we should put in a cheeky contract offer ;)

His contract is up next summer ;)
 
It gets worse... we didn't just sensibly take cash for forfeiting Bale's sell on clause, we took Spurs up on the amazing opportunity of taking Forecast permanently!! Classic Lowe! Tw*t

we had a 10% on kenwyne but obviously we got that when he went from sunderland to stoke.
