100%, there’s a YouTube series that follows Dorking and he basically says that. They’ve been promoted through so many leagues but lose a couple in a row and fans want him gone etc. Madness
It's my worry with our new American owners, all the fans are loving them pumping money in the club, but I know how this is going to turn once something takes a bad turn. I've seen it a few times in the past, and I hated it - it made me think, why would anyone want to own a football club! The problem you have these days is quite simply twitter and in some instances Facebook - every tom, dick and fooking harry has a voice and there is no social etiquette. I've seen how my own fans have behaved in the past and it's a no thank you from me for sure.
