I will point out that it is what I predicted! ;)

It's only that high because it's Real Madrid too... an English team could probably have got away with less as there is less precedent for Premier League kids getting more. Real have painted themselves in a corner as having got a reputation of paying whatever you ask for so you have more negotiation room when dealing with them.

You typically don't have to offer £400k per week when you can triple their salary for less than that. Very few people his age have ever got more than that and they were higher profile on a global stage. Bellingham is the buzzword player in England, but I don't think he's the same household name in other countries. To get £400k a week you have to be a global household name and the club is buying you will be buying you as much for your profile as they are your actual ability. Jude's not there yet.

Kids are also a massive risk because they're still developing and their injury potential is still a big unknown. Keep on improving like he has, stay injury free, and with Real Madrid improving his fame, he'll be a 400kpw player one day.

Another player I really like. Didn't really fit the 'industrial midfield' though

club with fake revenue and massive budget.

Just a shout out to Milner. Brilliant player for us for 8 years! Didn’t seem that long but was with us longer than any other clubs.

Helped bring s winning attitude and great with everyone at the club to help set standards. As with all players age caught up a bit and just looked off the boil when he did play at times the last couple years but can’t fault what he’s done for us.

Wont go down as an lfc legend but should be a very important cog in a very successful machine.

In sure he’ll get a brilliant reception when he arrived at Anfield next season.

Its a good move but it signals no Kelleher sale which signals a small transfer budget.

I'm very hopeful this kid will do amazing.

Chelsea reject £40m from Man U for Mount. Be interesting to see which way this goes. I'm not sure how much of a priority he is for Man U, and Chelsea need to offload players; I can't see them getting the £70m they want given he's only got one year left.

Arsenal's bid for Rice also rejected, but not sure how much it was for. A lot was add-ons apparently.

    Edit: £80m apparently

that is 100% the absolute limit of his value.

Its actually not where i would start but where i'd end or walk away from.

    (i'd start at 25)

the madness at cheslea looking for 70 for a player like mount they are casting aside, 70 for havertz who has been absolutely shattered by their fans and has zero confidence left, there are player after player they seem to think there will be a queue to pay whatever is asked is shocking.

I fully expect a fire sale within the next 2 weeks. Reality will set in that they will be under ffp charges for the years madness and they will try to do something. probably again cheating somewhow with collusion for utd to make up a swap or some such. (ignoring how juve got done for this)

West Ham want £100m. Sounds like Arsenal bid £80m plus add-ons, which West Ham in principle are fine with, but the add-ons were seen as being difficult to achieve/unrealistic, and also the payment was spread over a long time. Apparently they're also waiting for an expected offer from Man City, which they think will "blow Arsenal out of the water".

Also, where's all Arsenal's spending the last couple of seasons come from? Are they that rich?

I said this a few times. When everyone wa raving about arteta, he’s spent more than any other manager since he took over arsenal so this challenge for the league this should be the minimum given what they’ve spent. He’s just massively underachieved the previous year that’s all.

Not sure where all the money is coming from but there doesn’t seem to be the same noise made about it for some reason

their spend was 170mil last year and 130mil the year before. its a huge outlay thats coming out of cash the built up over time and their cash reserves in accounts have been dropping like a stone.

They are not that rich no but they built in 2004 to 2006 or whenever and sold masses of apartments on highbury so have been raking in cash and paying off their dreary bowl. they have no drag on the net cash flow so have the money to spend.

LFC have a drag called the main stand, kirkby and anfield road end that has to be paid back and is a drag on cash flow in the mid term.

LFC owners do not allow us to take debt on so they only allow very controlled spend on those stadium bits. As a result, whether we like it or not or whether we play the amortisation game, our cash flow determines what we spend.

Arsenal owners might be allowing them to run up debt?

Its the same for spurs, their spending is actually shocking given their debt but levy is very boastful in their financial statements that he refinanced the lot in covid at a very low interest rate. they have the massive stadium debt to pay but did thorw money about to please conte. Again owner and ceo doesn't care about debt.

Love it. VVD and I think Mo have also talked about the need for signings, so it's clearly on their minds. These guys have ambitions and want to win trophies - fact is, we did some incredible work over the years but the 2 out of the last 3 campaigns have been disastrous (20/21 we finished 3rd but could have easily fallen out, and we completely messed up our title challenge).

We cannot afford to have another poor season. In fact, it wasn't even a poor season - it was a complete sh*t show from everyone at the club. This season was not a transition season no matter how many journo's wanted to excuse the performances.

Clarkson in talks to return to Aberdeen on perm deal. Also champ clubs interested but Aberdeen have European football.

No idea on price. Can’t see it being loads of going spain. Maybe a couple million

it's Aberdeen so it will be small. if rangers came in it'd be 5. Aberdeen just cannot afford that.

for me the lad is a classic lfc youth. no physical ability not quick but can pass all day.

we simply don't produce "local" talent with the combination of talent and athleticism.

morton is another example. he's growing up a little but still a twig and he is a bit slow. he's good enough in terms of ability on the ball but the rest isn't there.
