Won't be going anywhere this year, says he want's to stay - PSG "determined to sell before they lose him for nowt but PSG can try and sell him all they like but he'll likely stay and walk away on a free next year, sign for another club for another £100 odd million signing fee...
It's a ridiculous suggestion to think that it's A) Possible, or B) remotely sensible to be a deal we'd pursue if it was a realistic option. Transfer budget smashed, wage structure obliterated. It's a complete non starter for many reasons.
Listen, if Targett is on 100k a week, I'm not coming for anything below 110k. This is a business after all
We know it'll never happen, can't afford it etc, ffp bollix. But just stop and imagine it for a minute. Mbappe up front! Mbappe guys, we'd be a hard team to play.
Are we talking about the same Kylian Mbappe: Team Honours Monaco Ligue 1: 2016–17[34] Coupe de la Ligue runner-up: 2016–17[262] Paris Saint-Germain Ligue 1: 2017–18,[263] 2018–19,[264] 2019–20,[265] 2021–22,[266] 2022–23[267] Coupe de France: 2017–18,[268] 2019–20,[269] 2020–21;[270] runner-up: 2018–19[271] Coupe de la Ligue: 2017–18,[272] 2019–20[273] Trophée des Champions: 2019,[82] 2020[274] UEFA Champions League runner-up: 2019–20[93] France U19 UEFA European Under-19 Championship: 2016[275] France FIFA World Cup: 2018;[276] runner-up: 2022[277] UEFA Nations League: 2020–21[278] Individual Awards UEFA European Under-19 Championship Team of the Tournament: 2016[279] Ligue 1 Player of the Year: 2018–19,[81] 2020–21,[280] 2021–22,[281] 2022–23[145] Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year: 2016–17,[282] 2017–18,[283] 2018–19[81] UNFP Ligue 1 Team of the Year: 2016–17,[284] 2017–18,[285] 2018–19,[81] 2020–21,[286] 2021–22,[281] 2022–23[146] UNFP Player of the Month: April 2017,[287] March 2018,[288] August 2018,[289] February 2019,[290] February 2021,[291] August 2021,[292] February 2022,[293] November/December 2022,[294] February 2023[295] UEFA Champions League Team of the Season: 2016–17,[296] 2019–20,[297] 2020–21,[298] 2021–22[299] FIFA FIFPRO World 11: 2018,[300] 2019,[301] 2022[302] Golden Boy: 2017[303] FIFA World Cup Golden Boot: 2022[304] FIFA World Cup Silver Ball: 2022[305] FIFA World Cup Young Player Award: 2018[306] FIFA World Cup Dream Team: 2018[307] Kopa Trophy: 2018[308] IFFHS Men's World Team: 2018,[309] 2021,[310] 2022[311] IFFHS World's Best Top Goal Scorer: 2022[312] French Player of the Year: 2018,[313] 2019,[314] 2022[315] UEFA Team of the Year: 2018[316] Ligue 1 top goalscorer: 2018–19,[80] 2019–20,[88] 2020–21,[317] 2021–22,[318] 2022–23[143] Ligue 1 top assist provider: 2021–22 Globe Soccer Best Player of the Year: 2021[319] Onze de Bronze: 2019[320] UEFA Nations League Finals Golden Boot: 2021[176]
Gillespie has extended his start and Karius has been offered a new contract. Looks like the end for Darlow and Dubravka
It depends how he's paid, I remember reading that Neymar gets paid most of his money from being a Qatari "tourism ambassador" to make it easier for PSG to get around FFP. How else could they afford to sign Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, Wijnaldum, Hakimi and Messi in one transfer window when they already had a monster wage bill(Mbappe,Neymar&Verratti) without some creative accounting like PSG pay a player 100k wages on the club books and the Qatari government pay them another 300k for a made up job title, so the player gets 400k a week and just has to take a few trips over to Qatar a season to take a few holiday pics
Very strong rumours that we're about to sign Nicolo Barella. £50million. Will be our highest earner. Out of the blue, but apparently very close to having it wrapped up.
It would be an insane level signing... Apparently we would still push for Maddison too, even if we do sign Barella.
Clark & Matty Longstaff released. Ritchie & Gillespie retained. Dummett & Karius 'offered' new contracts.
Yeah, I assumed that's why he's being retained too. I know Howe speaks highly of his impact in the dressing room and is probably helping him to transition into coaching staff.
