Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola plans to leave the club when his contract expires in 2025. (Guardian)

I did wonder if he would leave. He's achieved everything now that he'd want, much like he did with Barca. Time to move on and achieve his next goal. I looked up his age, he's only 52 so plenty of time and will pretty much be able to dictate his own wage structure...Newcastle <whistle>

Nah, but that's me thinking, I'd never want to own a club, not even my own tinpot team.

Dorking Wanderers vibes. Their manager is also the owner. Their rise up the league is interesting albeit they’ve probably thrown money about on a lesser scale

Would have to be PSG next I suppose.
Or back to Barca.
He wont go to Real for obvious reasons, Barca are a mess and neither could afford him.
He has done Germany and England, next up France.
The CL is their holy grail and City hired him for that very reason and he achieved it, so unless he fecks off to Saudi Arabia too, its gotta be PSG.
Unless he wants a crack at Juve, but anyone with any sense would be staying as far as they can from Italian football at the moment, there is a reckoning coming over there. Plus Juve are broke too

I've never seen the interest in owning clubs, supporters expect too much these days.

Me either.
Sounds like a headache and there are far easier ways to make money if you are a multi millionaire/billionaire.

Yup, I've seen what fans were like at my own club when things went tits up, can't be arsed with that shhite. Plus there's no return for your money these days, unless you go in and strip a rich club of all its assets.

Well it worked the Glazers I guess.
Bastards have strip mined a billion plus out of United since they took over, I read.
