Never said in the same manner as Citeh ... merely that you and also Liverpool during their pomp had the advantage of the biggest war chests to maintain your dominance ... and that what Citeh (and Chelsea before them) have been doing isn't that different...

It's the footie food chain ... just that there are now a couple of invasive species that have been dropped in the old pond ...

'Cheated' <doh> ... we admitted nothing and just paid the fine to close the issue ... a fine equivalent to one month's salary for Cristiano Ronaldo during his last sojourn with United ... but hey they could easily afford that kind of outlay ... not that they are in any kind of debt or owt ... obviously there are different levels of FFP ...

Well actually there is a clear difference between us and Utd compared to Man City and Chelsea in that the money we spent was money earned by the club rather than given by a rich owner with zero connection to the football club .

I agree ... but that's not going to wind anyone up is it? <laugh>

The only real point I was making is that the longer term dominance of any team in the top flight has been dependent on spending power ... so I can't really be arsed as to who it is that is doing it ...

If Citeh's dominance continues I'll likely get just as bored with it as I was with Liverpool's and then United ... but for now I'm just enjoying watching what is a phenomenal football team ... the game against Real Madrid was top drawer footballing entertainment <cheers>
