It's to combat Inter playing 2 up top. Pep trying to be too clever again, shouldn't matter but decisions he's made before with City in this competition have backfired at crucial moments.

Rarely have I wished for both teams to lose quite this much. I can’t stand Inter and I’m beginning to despise City, completely plastic and their genius manager who has never had to manage within a budget. City should walk it with their money and players.
Pep has still had to coach massive egos, plus he has revolutionised some aspects of the game. City struggling currently. Inter denying them any space with their 3-5-2.
I’ve never watched anything live on YouTube and seems ok so far. beats paying BT for more sport that I don’t really have any interest in but would bet on it anyway
