Man Utd players retiring from internationals as soon as they're 30 has started to look suspicious, first being Scholes but recently Berbatov, Park and Vidic all retired in short order. If carrick or Evra announce they're retiring from internationals soon, it's obvious which side their bread is buttered on. Huntelaar is the Netherlands' seventh highest-scorer ever, the irony being that as he was failing at Real and Milan he was banging them in for his country.

International football is different to any league game. Some players just prefer it or are better at it than others. Dunno why it happens really, but thats my guess.
The surprising thing is that these players get picked to play for their country despite the fact they are not playing well for their club. Peter Crouch has never been given that treatment despite having a superb goals-game ratio for England.
Canary- I have first hand knowledge of the Asian qualifiers, Australia is currently going through stage 1 and are top of their group needing 1 point to go to the next stage. That is between the first 2 placed countries in each of the 4 groups. It then becomes 2 groups of 4 - the winners of each group automatically qualify, I think, have to check though 2 place does too and 3rd place puts the team into a playoff with another confederation. Hope that helps.
Happy birthday for tomorrow...its still the 13th here! Same day as Prince Charles, will you be shooting some Grouse before a breakfast of Balmoral salmon?
Actually I will get the footman to it. Wouldn't do to one's hands wet & dirty now would it. Nice of HRH to have a birthday same as mine
I've all but lost patience for that place. Even Spurcat doesn't seem to be on there anymore but that could be because I outed him as Tim Sherwood
my other team Sutton United's 2nd Round fa cup game v Notts County has been chosen to be espn's live game.5oclock Sunday 4th December
I tried the same thing Ensil and they gave me a Fernando Torres. I think it's the same thing, but with extra salsa.
Perhaps they didn't want to rip you off, Ensil? I wasn't particularly happy with what I got and it definitely didn't hit the spot.
