The Aussies were well beaten in India a couple of months ago. They have never faced anything like Bazball. We haven’t got the full list of fit players to pick from, but I think they will be forced to try and match the approach, and because it’s not their choice they will panic and fail. Really looking forward to this series.
Yep, that's definitely a possibility and I obviously really hope you're right. It's going to be explosive whatever happens.
I can see bundles of runs being scored in this series, which would normally mean two or three drawn games. You just don't get draws with this England side though, and Bazball can't come off all the time, so I'll go 3-2 England.
Be afraid. Be VERY AFRAID. The AUSSIES ARE COMING! We've got Big Balls and we're ready to use them! Our batters are wielding HUGE wood! WE ARE THE WORLD CHAMPIONS!!! Not to brag, but we just won the Cricket World Cup. (Must be humble, must be humble) ..... aahh FECK IT! NEXT!
Challenge accepted. Bring it on Bro. I'm not even playing and I feel like I can influence the matches. Looking forward to the banter in the coming weeks/months.
If you don't act like a typical Aussie and start crying like a baby when you're under a bit of pressure thrn I'm sure the banter will be great. Start the greeting and you'll be getting pelters from all corners I'm sure
Steels, I love giving it and I'll take it, no worries. It's also so easy to wind you guys up. Doesn't take much either as I've noticed. But frankly, not too worried about the results. Aussies will do fine. Reckon they'll take the chocolates, but even if they don't, bad luck. My interest is more about QPR. This is just a sideshow. It's more about the give and take with you guys. And I'll look forward to hearing your "witty" put downs. So, as I've mentioned before, ... bring it on lads!
Sorry, Steelsy. Forgot to mention. I'll get the tissues ready, ....but don't think they get to Blighty before the end of the first test. So you'll have to get your own until the following game.
I'm just a passing observer - cricket doesn't really do anything for me, but if it gives a chance to take the piss out of you crims down under, then I'm all for it
Where do you think the crims came from, mate? Anyways, I've been assimilated into Oz, from a land far away. Got here as a young'un. Came out with parents to an idyllic lifestyle. Thanks Mum and Dad, R.I.P. Nice and warm down under, even in winter. A balmy and sunny 18 deg. C today. So it's all beer and skittles. If you're ever down this way you should come on over. I promise to keep it civil. And you may never want to go back. Well maybe just to watch the Rs at HQ. Even Kiwi would be jealous. But then again it might be too fast paced for the NZer. What say you Barnsie Mod.?
This comment has been removed by myself as I feel that I may have besmirched the integity of one of the most beloved contributors to our fine board. I regret the comments and hope that Didley will accept my humblest apologies. I'm almost certain that he will, knowing how kind he a person he is. Didley, I truly am apologetic.
All good, mate. I'm not one to bragged that we are the World Champions, l'll let the media do that. Just looking forward to the Ashes and hope we can make a good account of ourselves.
My post wasn't meant to offend you, in case you took it that way. Just a play on words. I'm just trying to stir up our pommie colleagues. Make the forthcoming Ashes a bit more interesting. And have fun at the same time. I'm sure they're taking it the same way. We're all QPR mad and whilst there's no football, you've gotta do something to make the interval a bit less bland. Looking forward to seeing more posts from you as our boys come away with the Ashes.
