I hope our bowlers were watching yesterday. Head looks seriously dangerous if yiu bowl to his strengths, but doesn't like it around his nose. Wood has got to play as he provides that extra pace and a good bouncer. Smith looks in ominous form as usual, but bowling around 4th or 5th stump with it moving away, he does look like he can nick off. I wouldn't want to leave out Anderson or Broad if both are fit , Broads record against left handers is imperious and Jimmy is just Jimmy. Robinson has been so good for a while now and has to play if fit. I fear they'll play Ali now for the extra batting though and to have a frontlne spinner. If they do that will only leave 3 bowling spots for the 4 mentioned above, whoever they leave out it could prove costly and I don't know which one it could be. I really hope it isn't Wood, cos we're gonna need that extra pace I'm sure.
And the Tooth Fairy, Saint Nick, Sasquatch, The Yeti, two Little Green Men, The Wicked Witch of the West, The Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Batman and Robin with the drinks, pad up as England's Second Eleven, for the second test, as the First Eleven get their asses whipped by the Baggy Greens. In the meantime, Father Time playing cards with Anderson, Ali, Broad, Rashid, Malan, Bairstow, Wokes, Hales, Wood and Willey to see who will be the first to break down and go home, sparing them the inevitable whitewash humiliation that is to come. Still, best of luck guys (you'll need it!) P.S. Nessie couldn't make it as she couldn't be found.
India like a freshly dunked digestive, crumbling all over the place ! Hope our batsmen aren't watching this
I think best India can do now, barring a miracle, is play for a draw. In which case, who gets the "Gong"? Rahane gone as I type, under review though.
That 6th day is a reserve day incase a day gets washed out. That isn't going to happen with this current weather, I can't see India taking it deep into day 5 anyway not against this Australian attack !
Australia lost 7 wickets for 108 runs today. India have lost 5 for 151. India’s day (though yesterday wasn’t….).
Jeez Col, I enjoy your posts. You make me laugh. But really hope the Ashes are a classic and to reiterate Didley's sentiments of earlier, may the better team win. And England can do as they please.
Day 1 Australia Day, days 2 and 3 India’s. Weeping Stevie fails, along with liability Warner. He’ll be dropped by the third ashes test.
I'll be amazed if the Aussies don't win quite comfortably. Nearly 300 runs ahead with 6 wickets remaining and 2 days left. Piece of piss.
