So Weatherley has a broken hand but is still able to play through the pain. Surely they won't risk him for the Championship game though? Unless they go back to Organ (please not) then I would suggest that Holland opens with Middleton and Donald gets a go at number 7. Although Albert appears to be in better form so I'd actually go for him instead to be honest. Great win against Somerset, wasn't expecting that after the start they got.
Either the Aussies are brilliant or India are vastly over-rated when they travel abroad? Just over a week to go for this eagerly awaited test series. As I have stated in a previoius post, Lyon could well be the key to the outcome of the series. I know some would love to see him belted out of sight, Perhaps the purists will enjoy seeing a high class spinner trying to outwit high class batters. At the moment it is impossible to decide who is the better side. England have the craft of Anderson, Broad and Robinson at their disposal, Oz the pacier Starc, Cummins and Boland. I feel that Oz might have the better top order, though. to counter that we can see that Pope and Brook are emerging as a top class batter who is more than capable of supporting Root should the openers get out cheaply. These three are crucial to the fortunes of England setting the Aussies a demanding target. Anyone who has mangaged to get a ticket to one of the Tests should be in for a brilliant day's entertainment. Let's just hope the weather is good for the five test series.
The difference between Middlesex and Hampshire is that Bransgove would never tolerate such mediocrity. You just sense the board at the Middlesex club are stuck in a timewarp in many aspects regardiing coming to terms with modern day cricket. Perhaps they hark back to heyday of Compton and Edrich, and what happened during the Brearley and Gatting era was just an abberation.
Don't worry Steve, Bazball isn't for everyone. World Test Championship final: Steve Smith falls for 34 to Ravi Jadeja with bizarre shot - BBC Sport
Oh **** you Kent - charging people £5.99 to watch the match. ****ing ****ers - no one else charges to watch their streams.
Yeah they've been doing it for all their home t20 games (except when on Sky). They're basically acting as the guinea pig for the ECB and the other 17 counties.
