We may be heading for the club pursuing RM for breach of contract if he signs for Southampton with the compensation still to be agreed.
If they have verbally offered him the job and he has verbally agreed, then that is a contract (doesn’t need to he written - verbal can suffice), then that was whilst they were still in the PL.
Anyway, who knows, Celtic could come in for him now …..
But if we haven't agreed his contract with us can be terminated then RM would technically be in breach with a possible claim against Soton as forcing the breach. We are adrift as a club, our boardroom is utterly useless, the Saints will get RM for £500,000 less, and it's down to the Idiots running the club, mind having said that clearly they will not be able to afford any of our players, if they are looking for loopholes in contracts such as this, but given we forced out Martin by cancelling his trip to USA, then I doubt there will be much of a fuss over legal redress over any contractual obligations regarding RM...
