Basically Spurs, in their current iteration, peaked between 2016-2019, that was their window of opportunity and they failed to capitalise on it.
They came close, but no cigar.
Son and Kane were pulling the strings and now they have reached the fall off point of their respective peaks.
They should definitely flog Kane and reinvest. They could keep him, if they are interested in the mighty accolade of one of their players getting a golden boot award or two, but they, like us, need an overhaul, but unlike us, they have a chairman who is tighter than a nuns snatch, plus lots of debt from a stadium re build, so they are going to need to sell. Its that simple.
Or keep Kane and finished 8th, with a 20-25 goal a season striker! <ok>

Kane has given Spurs plenty of opportunities to take the next step but they have basically shafted him. A striker of his calibre should have 3-4 major trophies under his belt at his age, but by sticking with spurs he has **** all to show for it

the problem for spurs is that where else are they going to get a 25 goals per season striker from ? Kane has artificially inflated spurs’ league position with his goals, when the team around him is largely crap.

With no Kane in the team they are midtable fodder

Agreed.
They are basically the same as Chelsea this season.
Kane is literally the only difference between us and Spurs.
Move Kane to our squad and you could probably swap our league positions

Yeah, I've had this convo with a few on the hammer reddit. The problem is there's only so many countries that have the size of stadium that would suit a European final. UEFA have a lot of members and have to be 'fair' when they hand out the finals. Can't have them in the same countries over and over again. And, TBH, I'm not that displeased as Soucek and Coufal are heroes there, so am expecting a bit of a partisan crowd.

Most ******ed thing ever, two teams, 13 miles apart sitting either side of one of the greatest stadiums in Europe, and they have to go to ****ing Azerbaijan to play each other

Surely it should just be a pre-requisite to be above ‘X’ capacity. San Marino are a member but don’t demand finals surely.
 
WTF just looked up the Fortuna arena and it has a 19k capacity!
What kind of **** is that for a European final! I know it aint the champions league but ffs, is that the best they could come up with?
Doesnt exactly scream high quality does it?

Theres no reason he can't replicate what he did with spurs if given enough time, and with todds wallet its even more probable.

Just hope he keeps his finals record going<whistle>

That might be enough to placate the spud fans, but he'll have to claim some pots to win us over properly. :p
