I want him to come, but CL sadly isn't the be all and end all, and wages are a huge part, combined with signing on fee and price. If it becomes a battle for highest bidder between us and Spurs, they're far more likely to throw around the cash and we're more to not want to pay too high.

I do think he's an ambitious lad and got good character. He doesn't seem to be the type would would go to Spurs just for the bright lights of London and a few extra quid. It works both ways though. We might not show him that we are as interested as Spurs for some reason other than money or even make a firm offer to sign. We might prioritise the spend elsewhere.

He's really good though imo. Guaranteed assists and goals. Might need to get up to speed though to play for us.
