Yeah, he keeps getting his name mentioned. Skillful and with good stats this season in a struggling team - has had Real Madrid and Barca interested. We could get him for a lot less than Maddison or Szoboszlai (€30million release clause apparently), but probably not quite as good as those two yet. It would certainly be a bigger gamble, as he has only just broken through at Celta. Bit of an Ekitike type risk.

He's barely played has a similar record to Gordon but everyone on twitter is absolutely buzzing about him. It's because he's Spanish I suspect, foreign names go a long way at Newcastle.

Tbh, considering our track record over the previous windows, this has a 95% chance of being bollocks. A lad we have never even considered will be unveiled later.
Perhaps Maddison is dead in the water, but certainly in my opinion a mistake by the club there.
For Maddison it all depends upon what the money comes to. I've read that he's after £250,000 pw. If true I'd look elsewhere as that would cause a big knock on effect in relation to the wages of the rest of the squad.
