I assume Dyche is there to stay, I don't know what contract he had, will be interesting to see if his financial head is as good as his football one and if he can point them on the right road, I think from figures that were being put out recently by the media, he can.

Figures I seen was a £420m loss over last 3 years.

Yeah but none of that was Dyche's doing, you are chatting about the past, I'm chatting about the future.

I'm not blaming Dyche, not one bit. Bloke has got them safe and that's exactly what he was brought in to do. Hat off to the guy. Point I'm trying to make is with a £420m loss over 3 years they can't have a net spend. It's transfer embargo territory again.

When you say that I'm thinking of Graham Potter. He deserves a second chance at a top club more than ****e like Lampard or Gerrard but let's see. Hopefully.
I thought when Gerrard left our u18s to manage rangers he would've been better served staying amd learning from klopp 1st hand for a few years behind the scenes like jose did at barca with Robson and the rest, can understand why he didn't tho but in hindsight patience may have been a better option for his long term management career, same goes for lamps really, getting offered the chav job so early was impossible to turn down for him but its damaged his potential as a coach.

Take no notice of that bolloxs, if City and Toon can get away with being dodgy fookers so can Everton. Dyche will bin off the shhite and get the wage bill down, sell players on to Newcastle for ridiculous amounts and replace them with new young talent.

We're only just reaching our FFP limit. Without the cheat code entered (yet)
As for binning his **** off to us, the only one I would consider would be Pickford as a juggling clown act pre-match and to replace the God awful competition they run at half time <laugh>

There's no way you wrote that, it talks too much sense. <laugh>

Don't even know why I'm chatting about Everton <laugh>

Maybe I feel guilty for Peej disappearing.

Yeh agree about both. Even if Gerrard left the U18's he should've stayed at Rangers. I remember saying so on the thread when he got the Villa job and I got slated for it. Whether it's a **** league or not he would've learned to deal with success and failure, managing **** and decent players and ultimately grafting to become a better manager.

I was impressed by Lampard at Derby, the style of football was decent and he had the players fully on side.

I may have thought John Terry was a **** of a human being lol but he's not jumped at anything and seems to be doing things right. I thought Rooney would do the same but he's fcked off to the MLS.

Carrick's another who was linked with the Spurs job. If he takes it I'll be disappointed. Not bcos it's Spurs but like the others he'll do well to learn the job more with Boro in the Championship.

Two years ago I would have agreed with all of that post, now after seeing what Kompany has done with virtually the squad he sent down I am not so sure.
Great battle manager but lost his motivational skills with the Burnley squad or maybe they just got fed up of struggling every year and needed a change of direction.

I dunno whot our records like on ex players then becoming mangers and doing well, xabi Alonso is doing alright, hyppia i think tried and gave it up, fowler done lower leagues then australia but nothing of a high standard.

Modern era 92 and onwards weve had a mare in that respect overall.

Youve had some stinkers too.

I can't think of any ex-newcastle players who've done well. Some have performed lower leagues well (lee clark, barton, bowyer, etc) and Gary Speed did well with Wales but Alan Shearer only really did well for Sunderland.

Bobby Robson acolytes are the best, but not from his time with us (Pep, Mourinho, AVB all worked under/alongside him at Barca iirc)
