My point was tongue in cheek, bouncing back the following season rarely happens, nor the following season, so we need something REALLY special to sort a squad out for next season and a manager capable of doing it. Not hopeful given the Board have fecked off and takeover will delay things. Really need to have plans in progress now but not happening.

yep. Considering parachute payments it’s surprisingly low. Show’s how much:
- a losing mentality/habit
- likely loss of key players
- likely change of manager
All impact on the following season even against a much lower standard of football.
Burnley this year were interesting. New manager, pretty much new team - so no baggage. Downside of that is it means putting a side together from scratch.
We need new manager and DOF assuming we’re getting one, ASAP. Keep the reliable/strong personalities, the young talent that’s ready now. And suppliment with players that suit the DOF/coaches style.
Then cross our fingers.
gotta give heck credit - done a good job at the blunts. Marsch would have kept us up in my view but we’ll never know.
