Evening All have been doing a little reading since my evening meal. I stumbled across this which set me thinking, have we progressed since the piece was written? I know it is not new and may have been chewed over before, but the subject is still a mystery.

Just back from a day in London and watched recording of England game. While it wasn't very exciting and friendlies mean nothing I was surprised both by the amount of effort England put in and by the lack of incisiveness among the Spanish forwards. Given that I don't often bother with England games and the Hornets may take a while to returne to the Prem, it may be the first and last time that I think Joleon Lescott was Man of the Match (and, for those who remember Trollope's Forsyte Saga, I think Jolyon looks classier!)

The England game was quite boring, maybe because we didn't let Spain dominate us, but still I'm surprised we actually beat them

Just finished watching the match...a good win..we never look strong at Wembley, i thought on the whole it was a solid performance, though lots to do, including actually keeping the ball..where have i heard that before! ;)

What a beautiful afternoon...just back from a walk, taking the ne SLR camera to capture some autumn colours and a beer in our local at the end of it.
