I wonder how that goes down with teammatesToney bet on Brentford to lose 13 times.
Bet he scored a number of winners or equalisers in those games.
Dumb ****, lol.
Edit:
Apparently didn’t play in those matches, shame, would’ve made a funny story.

He should've been banned for much, much longer.Toney bet on Brentford to lose 13 times.

Betting on your own team to lose is unbelievable, even if he didn't play.
He knows these players well and is in a direct position to influence them.
And they’ve only lost 9 times this season!Toney bet on Brentford to lose 13 times.
.
They'll apply to extend it to a worldwide ban if he tries to move, apparently. Now that full details have been released I am surprised how short the ban is, should have been at least all next season and worldwide in my opinion.
Do we have any idea how much he was betting? And they’ve only lost 9 times this season!
He has a gambling addiction. Not sure what the appeal is for a rich footballer. Having £10 on a 25/1 shot which comes off can’t have the same thrill . I suppose it’s economies of scale.
Gambling is an addiction, the point is there is no reason that makes sense, the worry that football should take into account is casting him adrift in the early period of his punishment as Southgate pointed out , they should allow his club to aid and guide him while bannedAnd they’ve only lost 9 times this season!

I think there’s a boredom issue with top level footballers. They’re probably just doing what their non-footballer mates do. No doubt he got into it when he was in the lower leagues when a successful bet did carry a buzz for himGambling is an addiction, the point is there is no reason that makes sense, the worry that football should take into account is casting him adrift in the early period of his punishment as Southgate pointed out , they should allow his club to aid and guide him while banned
I'll bet he's the thin end of the wedge and there will be more crapping themselves after this
Years ago I drank in the bar of a local golf club ( mate was the manager) and a lot of the 80s Spurs players could be found there after a round of golf and the money they chucked about betting on the most stupid things was unbelievable, a couple of them playing a game of conkers using very expensive wrist watches while the notes piled up after every hit until the loser stopped ticking
Knowing how easy it is to gamble now it's know wonder it's tempting, if football was serious about the betting they should ban all sponsorship from those companies but we know it won't happen due to the money pouring into the game
There's been calls for PL clubs to lowtone gambling firms for the best part of ten years, especially when it was noticed how many clubs in deprived areas happen to have gambling firms emblazoned on their kitshttps://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65260002
A PL sponsor proportion of 2 in 5, is not good is it.
You need to get the data on sponsor type
(primary - name on the shirt etc) and % of total
sponsor income for each club, to know what the
real effects of banning such companies would be,
Skybet, whose main defence when anybody suggests how dodgy that setup clearly is boils down to "Well Paddy Power owns it now" - even though Skybet ads still feature Sky pundits...The EFL has been sponsored by Skybet for a decade .
Bayern 1-1 ; losing is enough for Dortmund as it stands
"Terzic is perfect for Spurs" added to the r/soccer drinking gameUnbelievable bottle-job by Dortmund, so far. So many chances and they just kept missing.
