Good Luck <ok>

BATED BREEZE 5/1 Goodwood 1:50
Showed enough on debut to assume there was a lot more to come.
Yard does pretty well with its juveniles and this one has already been clipped a few points.

Looking at today's racing the thing that strikes me across the old chops is why, oh why, does Bath need 9 races today (in contrast Ponty have just 6)?!? Answers on a postcard please to the usual address...

16.10 Goodwood. This would look like a wheelbarrow job at 5/6 but the form is difficult to assess so not worth the risk for me

Well, Timeform right on that one. Seems he was quite impressive, despite running green

I don't know if anyone saw the recent Goffs sale but Seven Barrows had 10 residents go through the old sales ring (don't fret, people, the Lieutenant, himself, wasn't one of those 10).

The great man restocking, reloading and all that....

Moving forward though were there any bargains amongst that number??? Well it will be difficult for all these animals as the transfers will be like a footballer moving from The Arsenal to Chippenham Town. How can they improve on perfection, say I. But wittering on apart I do think Wiseguy (£42,000 - Highflyer Bloodstock) and Scarpered (£4,000 - J Ponting) may be worth following in the future. Was quite surprised that connections let the former go (has proved fragile but has always been viewed as a potentially top notch fencing prospect). And re the latter he's attracted the stewards attention, in the past, almost as much as the free smoked salmon served prior to racing commencing. Rated just 89 he could be interesting, for new connections, in lowly handicaps...
