I rate him as you know but like you say the price is not worth the risk as he's not been playing well. I'd back Klopp to get him on track again but there are others out there for less.

Potentially both but haven't watched Mac Allister enough to know

Macallister is great at what he does which is win the ball give it simple, doesn't get injured and is a solid player. He'd fit in perfectly with us and do what Wijnaldum used to do.
