Anything that's likely to be played over the Wembley tannoy usually makes me cringe ...

... especially if Queen are involved.

One of the few I like, great melody and May doesn't get the chance to ruin it.

I just can't abide anything like We are the Champions or We will Rock you.

Just said to my son that I'm already dreading the next.

I watched a performance by Neil Yound earlier who had people like Emmylou Harris backing him. He wouldn't last thirty seconds on X-Factor ...

... weak as piss voice, couldn't hold a note, no fashion sense and not a great looker.

But some of his music will last for eternity.

First clip was from The Tube, remember watching that as a young man waiting to go out on a Friday night and being amazed at the power in her voice in what was obviously a "live" performance. Amazing singer. RIP

Haha don’t let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch man. I’m probably in a minority. One of those songs I have on a list if “hit fast forward immediately “. Along with Dobt stop believing by Journey

A true legend with genuine raw talent and came through in-spite of the unbearable abuse of Ike...she will be a huge miss, but her music will live on for years to come...certainly will in my house...God Bless Anna Mae and thanks for everything Rest in Peace

If only there was a Tina Turner song I could use as an appropriate tribute.

Abandoned as a child, horribly abused by an awful husband, got up, got out, got on with it and made her life a triumph through hard work and talent.

    She was simply private dancer.

There's no right or wrong in music, as you know.

Personality I don't like Tina Turner's voice, has a whiny tone imo, but she was obviously a great performer. I've seen her being ranked alongside singers like Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, etc today but I can't agree. Tina Turner was perhaps better on stage but, as a singer, I didn't think she had the range or grasp of melody.

    Still canny though.

Simply the Best is the one song that gets middle aged couples on the dance floor at weddings etc that wouldn't normally dance together, they then shuffle about aimlessly waving their arms, then at the chorus they point at their spouse whilst singing the chorus but secretly wishing they were dead
