Don’t have a huge issue with this tbf up to a point. If the police don’t do their jobs (whether we agree with the police’s level of authority is another issue) then the public will take matters into their own hands. If they’re assaulting people, especially women, it’s not a just response.

You know they’ve been getting paid less than their colleagues in England which has always narked them and this will just align them? This is also why Scotland should appreciate the Union. If they can’t afford it, the UK government just covers the deficit, anyway. An independent Scotland wouldn’t be able to make that sort of offer.
