My lad is fighting tonight. Just wandered up to look at the ring while he weighs in. Olympic size. First time I have been up close to a ring that size. Bloody massive. I reckon I could avoid Canelo for 30 seconds it is that big...
Fought like a warrior tonight, but edged out on a split by a lad who was sharper and stronger. He was a bit battered and bloodied but never took a step back and landed some big shots of his own that had the lad back peddling a bit. Great learning tonight though.
Takes balls to step in there in the first place mate, you either win or you learn, good luck to him going forward

Missed the first 5 rounds coz I had to pit the bairn back to bed coz he woke up but caught the last 5.
Good scrap, first time I've seen that cameron and she was class, taylor didn't seem to faze her at all.
Fight goes too quick for my liking though, especially at that level. Surely the world class ones should be fighting 10 3 mins, at least?

Yeah agree. It's getting to a point where the 3 min round needs to be implemented. I'd agree that 2mins is simply too short. However, it does give you plenty of action.
Initially, the 2 min rounds were to protect female fighters. The depth of quality wasn't there. So they equalised it by making it 2 mins. Be interesting to see if they keep it for much longer.
