I read the board in particular match threads... if you want to hate on players that are doing extremely well fine I don't have to be an arsehole too.

I'd also like to reiterate something I've been saying for ages and that is that too much emphasis is on newcastle finishing 4th... 5th is a highly successful season.

Exactly and newcastle haven't maxed out they're now getting bigger sponsorship the lot. I know champions league is a game changer but if they do a Newcastle it's not the end far from it.

Almiron needs out of the team for me. Seems a really nice bloke and he tries hard but to get to this level and be unable to do anything with your right foot is ridiculous. He nullifys our threat down the right hand side as defenders know 99 percent of the time he's going to have to stop and pass it back to trippier.

The protracted pursuit of Diaby suggests that Eddie has got the same idea. Almiron will be good squad depth/competition for someone like Diaby.
There seems to be a growing amount of noise that we are after signing Szoboszlai this summer. Would probably be a good signing - I wonder if this is our backup option to Maddison.
It would be an exciting addition. Though I'd still like Maddison as a tried and proven option.
