Depends what you call sad.

I'm not saying don't regale us with tales of Stanley knives, allotments, coins, bearings, washers etc but please understand it bears no relation to the majority experience folk attend football for in today's world.

Just do it on your own fadingly testosterone-fuelled, gammon headed thread of your own?

Seems a reasonable request..
Terrace nostalgia isn't the sole realm of the fading gammon, as I remember testosterone was fairly universal and reminiscences may occur spontaneously on various threads not in little neat boxes marked 'fao psychos only' away from you normals.

*smart.

Bit sick of this board turning into a retro 1970s jezza Kyle footie special.

It was never part of my 'gib'.

Old ****s are just egging on the youngens cos it takes all half time to drain their prostates these days let alone get a pint.

It's sad really.
Delighted to announce that the introduction of the 'REMINISCE IF YOU CAN'T PISS ' thread is in the process of being set up:emoticon-0148-yes:

Watershed moment....Was that Burnsey and Swanns last ever contribution on RH? Burns was clueless if he would ever be heard from again...Shame really if that was the last hurrah.

Regarding sports coverage at Radio Humberside, I think everything is up in the air at the moment with the merging of broadcast areas. Whether they retain Burnsy as a commentator as a freelancer will depend on sports budgets for next season. With Scunny dropping further down the lower leagues, I can't see how the BBC can justify live coverage of them anymore, they don't broadcast Brigg Town, North Ferriby United, Cleethorpes Town or Winterton Rangers live.

Burnsy will get his sizable severance package from the Beeb and will probably be back freelancing at the Beeb, not sure if the budget will cover Swanny's costs though. He said yesterday he was off on holiday to the Seychelles shortly.

Quite
I posted a clip of City fans travelling to the Luton game, on the Luton game thread. Said it was dreadful behaviour although found one shot, not of someone fighting, amusing.
For some reason the Orange Post Police reprimanded me.
Online kettling…

I can't help thinking that the BBC should just pay Lineker , Shearer etc. less rather
than get rid of local radio presenters

You'd have to pay them nothing at all to make any difference, if every wage on Match of the Day was scrapped completely, it wouldn't cover half the wages of those who are being let go from Local Radio.

I understand there have been more managerial roles created in this marvellous restructure, so those salaries need to be accounted for as well...

It won't last much longer. Leicester have less than a handful of games to save their season and I for one think they are down.

Yep, looking to me like Southampton, Leicester and Leeds.
As happy as I'd be if Leeds are 1 of the 3, on the other hand, I don't think they are the best 3 to come down from our promotion chances perspective.

I think Southampton will be good in the championship. Leicester are in financial trouble. 7 or 8 players out of contract (one of the reasons they aren't trying), which will save them money of course but I am not sure they can do a Burnley and go straight back up. They have borrowed money to build their new training complex and I understand they have done some financial deal relating to future finances. A Barcelona type thing but on a smaller scale. Leeds? Not sure they will do any good in the championship.

Southampton, Everton and Leeds would be ideal I think (for ****s and giggles...not for our promotion chances)
