Can see this being a bit like last seasons Everton game where they beat us 1-0. Our players need to just get over todays result.
The more I think about it I reckon fat Sam came out with that delusional horse **** to take the spotlight off the players. He can’t be that delusional? Bruce was though. And Carver. And Kinnear.
We will bounce back. The few times we’ve been knocked back this season we have done that. All we have to do is play to our standards and we will win.
Thought Leeds were dreadful against City, like, dreadful. If the saying goes "they didn't even enter second gear" then City didn't even take the car out of neutral, near the end of the game they even put the car in reverse. So of course they will beat us.
Not sure Longstaff will be fit enough after throwing his ankle onto the boot of an Everton player (VAR where were you)
A win and newcastle will be one result away.... I feel like this is a must win but ffs don't lose. Joelinton a doubt, Bruno playing with and injury so going to have to grind this one out.
Apparently longstaff is now to have a secondary scan, with Howe suggesting that he may be out for the remainder of the season after all.
Midfield options looking a bit sparse for this one then, if Joelinton is out too... Bruno, Willock and Anderson? Or maybe start Schar in DM with Bruno and willock cm? Definitely need two high quality cm additions this summer if sticking with three in the middle.
Just had a look back at the officials for the Everton game and it was Chris Kavanagh on VAR duty that night Same guy as yesterdays ref
Hopefully the same applies to LiVARpool when they meet Leicester next Monday. I have a feeling they might well draw a game in their run in.
