Maybe just maybe Callum E has thoughts of returning home. Seems Aussie football is on the up and perhaps he might be able to get a contract on a similar salary to here. All that being said, he's been great for us.

Me personally, I just think if we are to mount a serious push next season we need better then the likes of Elder, Coyle etc to perform in the way Rosie seems to want. Good pros the both of em, but theyre not going to give you the attacking threat which we seek. As back ups I'm sure they do a job but lessen our effectiveness, I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 left wingbacks and perhaps a right wingback come in.

I'm personally sorry Elder is going as think he's been a very decent left back for us and for me this leaves us needing TWO new left backs as it's not Greaves natural position and I don't think Fleming is quite good enough. I wonder if it was Liam's decision or Elder's as his personal farewell to the crowd last week suggested the decision had already been made.

Anyone know who the mystery player who we didn’t get last summer but wants to join now? Another name I think makes sense is Mikautadze.

I think it’ll be Yilmaz as we need a left back and he’s not playing

No clue, clearly highly rated as Rangers spent £4m on him I think. Been injured most of this season as you can imagine given we are linked

Assuming he means Ridvan Yilmaz at Rangers, then yes he is. The issue there would be that when he signed for Rangers, it was on a five year deal. Might be able to get him on loan though.

Yilmaz is starting for Rangers against Aberdeen tomorrow, but it’s not televised, so no chance to check him out.

Just doesn't seem like a Rosenior type of signing, he's very diminutive and it feels like Liam's mentioned the need for height (not just at LB) an awful lot

Our whole season is centred on how vital a left back is
    Ffs
Elder is more than good enough for a promotion chasing team
Get your midfield and forwards sorted then you’ll have a promotion winning team

Last time we went up our full backs were probably 2 of our top 5 performers for the season

The last time we went up, our full backs were Elmo and Robertson and they were both brilliant, debatable whether they make the top five with Odubajo, Huddlestone, Diame, Maguire and Snodgrass etc in there, but they certainly played a major part.

We had a fantastic team that season.

Elmo and Odubajo switched around and Hernandez I’d put at No.1 that season, he scored 22.

That promotion team under Bruce in 2012-13 was an interesting one. There wasn't an out and out goalscorer in that team, everybody chipped in. IIRC correctly our top scorer was Koren, then Aluko, Simpson, Gedo, Meyler, Boyd and Brady chipped in with others.

Compared to the 2015-16 season when we had Hernandez on 22, then Diame on 10. After that it must have been Snodgrass, Akpom and Clucas maybe on around five or six each?

One thing this team needs more of is goals outside of the striker position. And preferably inside it too.

It puzzles me why Flemming wasn't "making the cut" thought in past appearances that he played well, I especially liked his interplay down the wing with KLP and think that successful partnership could be repeated with Harry Vaughan. That would give us 2 fullbacks along with Christie who have the ball control to interchange passes with their winger to create opportunities down either side.
However it looks like LR thinks that he lacks quality in his defensive duties?
