Little pe election may be pushing things a little bit Most people (at least the thinking ones) often vote for a different council/councillors than the would vote for when electing a government. I rarely vote for the same in both elections and often vote for independent candidates in local because I know they have the area at heart but would not trust them to run the Country. By the way, every declared result so far have been "held" by either main party. Only 10 so far though.
Thing is mate, these idiots complain about a facist state, but then go round filming everything on their mobi as part of their 'freedom,' do they not see the irony?
No mate, because if you want to hit at the core of a facist state, I would as a protestor do two things... First stop the use of all mobile phones for anything. Pull down every single CCTV camera in the UK. There is not enough police or prison cells to accommodate such a protest, and it would hit at the core of everything in this country - but these fannies are more interested in being on social media, rather than any real protest, such as like the miners, who knew what a real protest was.
Because protest and activism has been co-opted in recent years as a fad and detracts from the political statement. Just look at the people in charge of the official BLM organisation who swindled millions of $s worth of donations from supporters of the cause to buy mansions in gated communities. The French are the best at protesting because they’re not afraid to get their hands dirty but they’re also not thick as **** and wear masks to protect their identity.
Or smoke a cigarette. Or dress well. Or be self consciously feminine/masculine. Or not be grotesquely fat.
It is strange that Labour are out pre-celebrating the next general election win. I voted Labour in this local election because I think they are doing a fantastic job in Manchester (the improvement in local sports facilities etc over the last few years has been amazing) and they and the Greens were the only ones who produced a local manifesto. I was actually considering voting Green until I saw they planned to introduce a 20mph speed limit over the whole city if voted in. However this by no means reflects how I will vote in a General Election.
